Boston Bound for Barb with Oklahoma Parkinson Foundation
Hello there! Thanks for visiting my personal page. This year I am taking part in the Parkinson’s Rally Walk & 5K, helping raise funds and awareness for the Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma.
Only 2 days left to reach my goal.
I have set a lofty personal fundraising goal and need your help to reach it.
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
I did it! I completed the 123rd Boston Marathon on April 15th sporting a Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma bib that I created for the occasion. The race was everything I dreamed it would be. I recieved quite a few shout outs for the bib (and my Landrunners shirt) throughout the race. I also was able to share it with a number of other great friends from Oklahoma and other locations that I have met through running. I finished the marathon in 3:20:46 which was a bit short of my goal but the time was good enough to qualify me to run Boston again in 2020. Before then, though, there is the upcoming Parkinson's Rally Walk & 5K on May 5th.
I have decided to play a role in helping Oklahoma Park inson’s families by creating a team for the Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma’s Rally Walk & 5K. This event is the state’s largest event to raise awareness and money to support Oklahoma Parkinson’s families!
Debi and I ask you to donate and even join our team, for together we can help improve the quality of life for each Oklahoma family fighting Parkinson’s. Your support will help the Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma provide Parkinson’s specific therapy, education, and support at no cost. Help us reach our goal.
Every dollar stays in Oklahoma to provide programs for local families. Please donate today!
My Personal Web Log
Boston Marathon - 7 days to go
By this time next week, I will have completed a majority of the Boston Marathon en route to what I hope will be a personal best. I am excited, too, that I will be pursuing this dream come true in support of this great cause, The Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma. With your help, we can expand the services and programs to reach more and more Oklahomans with this dreadful disease.
Please consider a donation in support of my team and personal goal.
